Climate change is harmful not only for the planet, but also for people's health. A person's well-being is influenced by a host of factors: the environment, air temperature and humidity, the amount of sun, atmospheric pressure, the speed and frequency of winds, and so on. The most favorable for life and health are considered to be the subtropical and temperate continental climates. We will feel good where there is a short, mild winter, a not-too-hot summer, and plenty of sunlight.
But we are all different: some people love cool and rainy weather, others are allergic to frost, and still others enjoy the heat and the scorching sun. So where in Russia is the best climate for living? Let's take a look.
1. The Republic of Adygea
By all parameters, it is precisely here that the most comfortable climatic conditions for living are found: a humid, moderate winter and a dry, warm summer. The temperature in winter does not drop below 10 °C – are these not paradisiacal conditions? Summer lasts about 180 days and at the same time it is not too hot. The sun shines from 200 to 250 days a year. And, what is important, the air is clean.
2. The Black Sea Coast
The place that the majority of Russians so love to come to for vacation turned out to be second on the list. The most popular tourist cities – are Sochi, Tuapse, Gelendzhik, and Anapa, where the resort season lasts from May to October. On the Black Sea coast there is an unprecedented number of sanatoriums and resorts. It is not for nothing that this region is called the health resort of Russia. In the cities by the Black Sea, sub-zero temperatures rarely occur, with the exception of the ski resorts located on the mountain peaks. The climate here is mild: short winters and a warm summer. 3. Stavropol Krai
One of the comfortable climates in Russia fell to the residents of the Stavropol region. The center of the krai – the city of Stavropol – is located between the Black and Caspian seas. The climate here is temperate continental, precipitation does not fall often, and the sun shines almost 170 days out of 365. 4. The Crimean Peninsula
Crimea could not be left without attention. The peninsula in the northern part of the Black Sea stretches across almost 30 thousand km², so the climate in different parts varies. You will surely like it in Yalta, Alushta, Sudak, and Feodosia, since the local climate is very similar to the Mediterranean. Summer is hot and dry, winter – is humid and mild, and snow cover blankets the peninsula once every seven years.
5. Kaliningrad Oblast
The westernmost region of our country is ideally suited for those who cannot stand the heat and too much frequent sun. The climate here is temperate continental and very mild. Heat and frosts are short-lived; for most of the year a temperature comfortable for living holds. In summer it is about 22-26 °C, winter temperatures – are around -5 °C with a minimal amount of snow. The sea air here is saturated with iodine, and the cities of Kaliningrad Oblast are simply drowning in greenery.
