All oceans
The world ocean is divided into four parts — the Pacific, Atlantic, Indian and Arctic. The warmest on average is the Indian Ocean (+25…+28 °C at the surface in the tropics); the coldest is the Arctic, ice-covered most of the year. Sea-surface temperature ranges from +30 °C at the equator to below zero at the poles. Values are shown per coastal city and recomputed hourly — measured sea-surface temperature (SST) combined with a climate model. Pick an ocean to see water temperature by coastal city, a daily forecast and the monthly climate norm.
