In Ayurvedic medicine there are three doshas - Vata, Pitta, and Kapha, each of which corresponds to certain elements and has its own characteristics. Depending on the type of dosha, a person is advised to choose a particular climate and place of residence.

Vata dosha

People of the Vata type usually have dry skin and hair. They tend to be thin, have a fast metabolism, a tendency toward worry, anxiety, and nervousness. They often get cold, their extremities are constantly cold, and they have difficulty falling asleep.

People with a Vata dosha are advised to live in a warm, humid climate, where there is plenty of greenery and good weather year-round. Ideal places to live for people of the Vata type can be the southern states of the USA, Sochi, the coast of Turkey, the Caribbean, southern Spain, California.

People with a Pitta dosha are advised to live in a cool climate, where there is plenty of greenery and water. Good places for the permanent residence of people with a Pitta dosha can be: Russia, Scandinavia, Canada, the Northwest of the USA, Antarctica.

Kapha dosha

People of the Kapha type are usually heavy-set, with a slow metabolism, prone to laziness and depression. They often have cold extremities and difficulty digesting food.

People with a Kapha dosha are advised to live in a warm, dry climate, where there is plenty of sun and it is hot. The most suitable places are: the Mediterranean, southern France, southern Africa, Australia.

It is important to note that these recommendations are general and are not strict rules. People may have a combination of doshas or differ from the general characteristics. It is best to consult an Ayurvedic doctor in order to receive individual recommendations on the choice of climate and place of residence based on your type.
