If you want your video to «blow up» the internet — post a clip of a smiling dog, a feisty cat, or, well… a striped raccoon. When it comes to mischief, these striped charmers can be outdone only by wolverines — once these members of the weasel family get into your house, you might as well consider it lost, everything will be turned upside down.
Raccoons, too, can pull off something similar and be real bandits. That said, the raccoon in the clip we are talking about is more of a petty thief than a robber. And, by the way, a very cautious one at that.
Sneaking along, very carefully, it peeks out from behind the headboard of the bed and reaches out a paw toward the nightstand, on which lie the coveted goldfish-shaped cookies. It deftly takes one and vanishes into its hiding place.
But the striped one does not stop there: licking its lips, it returns once again to the «scene of the crime.» Having grown bolder, it climbs onto the nightstand, grabs two more cookies with its paws, and is gone. The video cuts off here, but most likely the sequel will play out off-camera: after all, two more «fish» are still left on the nightstand.
As the raccoon's owner herself recounted, her pet was simply in the mood to be naughty – she hid behind the bed and refused to leave her hiding spot. However, the smell of the cookies drove her to commit the crime. To everyone's delight.
