An amazing catch was made by a young fisherman from the American state of Oklahoma. Charlie Clinton went fishing not far from his home. His hook caught an exotic fish called a pacu — a harmless relative of the famous Amazonian piranhas.
There is nothing unusual about a fish from South America ending up in the U.S. Local residents often keep pacu as unusual pets, but as soon as the fish grow too big for aquariums, they release them into the nearest body of water. As a rule, pacu fish grow up to a meter in length, and their weight can be around 40 kilograms.
In this case, far more interest is sparked by the appearance of the specimen Charlie caught. Amusingly, the teeth of the fish the boy caught resemble human ones. The pacu looks as if it were drawn by animators and is about to start talking.
Experts suggest that the fish adapted in this way to an unusual diet. In their native ecosystem, these fish have a positive effect on the growth of algae, but when they end up in a foreign environment, they can easily destroy the local flora that they feed on.
