To make a beautiful pattern on Easter eggs, you don't have to bother with onion skins, brilliant green (zelyonka) or buy special stencils. There's a simpler way to create a marble effect on the shell.

Besides the eggs themselves, you will need:

  • egg dyes — 4 pcs,
  • glasses — 4 pcs,
  • table vinegar — 4 tsp,
  • water — 8 tbsp,
  • cotton swabs — 4 pcs,
  • paper napkins.

This amount of dye is enough for about 20 eggs. Before you start dyeing, boil and cool the eggs. Use ones with white shells.

Take four glasses and pour dye into each. Choose the amount depending on the desired colour intensity. Also add two spoons of water and one spoon of vinegar to each.

Wrap each egg in a napkin. Then dip a cotton swab in the glass with the first dye and create a random pattern. Next take a clean swab and add the second shade. Repeat the same with the remaining dyes.

When all the eggs are completely covered with dye, leave them to sit in the napkin for about half an hour. Then remove the paper and serve the eggs at the festive table, shares the trick the Zen channel «‎Sladky Persik».
