In a very short time, creeping shrubs have won popularity among gardeners. On the one hand, creeping shrubs can be an excellent aesthetic addition to your plot. They are capable of creating a «natural fence» and fitting gracefully into the landscape. And they are also simply beautiful, aesthetically pleasing, flowering plants that provide variety on a plot.
On the other hand, besides the aesthetic component, creeping shrubs also have their downsides. They can become a place where rodents gather or a habitat for harmful insects. In addition, creeping shrubs can take up too much space on a small plot, accumulate moisture, and grow excessively. However, to prevent this, it is enough simply to care for the shrubs properly and to plant them thoughtfully.
1. Cut-leaf blackberry (Rubus fruticosus)
A variety of blackberry with elegant white flowers and sweet berries. This shrub can grow up to 3 meters in length. Blackberry grows in the southern Moscow region, the forest zones of Central Russia, and even in the south of Siberia. It loves partial shade, mineral-rich soils, and constant care.

It is a slow-growing species, but in the end it grows to a fairly large size and can reach up to 2 meters in length. It grows mainly in the north of our country and prefers dry, half-shaded places.
Creeping juniper (Juniperus horizontalis)

This is a shrub with beautiful green leaves that have an unusual shape. It looks delicate and harmonious, and is ideal for decorating the area around a house. Stephanandra prefers sun or partial shade.
Stephanandra originally grew in China and Japan. In Russia this species has not yet gained wide recognition – and that is a pity.
